Recovery Walk Scotland 2016 launched

Registration is now open for Recovery Walk Scotland 2016. This years walk taking place in Falkirk on Saturday 17th September will be the fifth national recovery walk to be held in Scotland. Everyone is welcome to take part in Recovery Walk Scotland 2016, people in recovery from addiction, people seeking recovery, friends, family, treatment providers, neighbours, supporters two legged and four legged.
Subject to final approvals from Falkirk Council and the Falkirk Community Trust, the Walkers will assemble at the Kelpies in Helix Park at 11am where we will hold the Roses memorial service by the River Carron. We will move off in the procession at 12 noon and wind our way through Falkirk town centre to the lovely Callendar Park where the recovery village and festival are to be set up.
Marion Martin chair of the Recovery Walk Council said,
"This is a very exciting time for recovery in Scotland! We have connected with each other , grown in numbers and flourished. People are recovering, families are recovering. Let's show this to the whole of Scotland by celebrating recovery together in Falkirk on this special day"
